Velice oblíbená fotografická aplikace Hipstamatic dostala další rozšíření. Tento SnapPak se nechal inspirovat Francií a dobou dávno minulou.
Autochrome HipstaPak je dostupný přímo v aplikaci Hipstamatic a to přes In-App nákup. Z důvodu plošného zdražení veškerého obsahu v App Storu však nově stojí 1,09 € na místo dříve obligátních 0,99 €. Za tuto cenu získáte objektiv Lumière a film A-Type Plate. Samozřejmě jej mohou používat i předplatitelé obrázkové sociální sítě Oggl.
Bratři Lumièrové vynalezli v roce 1903 autochrom (autochrome Lumière znamená automaticky barevný), který byl komerčně vyráběný v letech 1907 až 1935. Jedná se o raný proces barevné fotografie patentovaný právě roku 1903. V této době byl nejrozšířenějším procesem barevné fotografie.
Autochrom je, podobně jako dnešní diapozitiv, barevná průsvitka. Skleněná deska je pokrytá barevnou mozaikou mikroskopických zrnek bramborového škrobu obarvených na oranžovou, zelenou a modrou barvu překrytých černobílou panchromatickou emulzí. Při expozici světlo proniká různobarevnými zrnky a po vyvolání do pozitivu tak vznikne barevný obraz. Černobílý obraz na emulzi totiž pozorujeme přes stejné barevné filtry, jako když ta byla exponována.
Objektiv Lumière znamená z francouzského překladu světlo. Tento objektiv produkuje syté snímky se zvýšeným kontrastem. A-Type Plate film na nich pak vytvoří zrnitost podobnou té, která byla obsažena pravé na oněch prvních barevných fotografiích vznikajících za pomoci bramborového škrobu.
